Tutor Guidelines

Teach the methodology only you can teach.

Tutoring on Resurchin is a volunteer role for experienced researchers who want to help train the next generation of rigorous thinkers.

Volunteer roleCertificate of Participation + social recognition

01 / Who this is for

Who we're looking for

Resurchin tutors are experienced researchers, graduate students, or professionals with a track record of doing real research in their field. You don't have to be famous. You have to be rigorous, care about the process, and be willing to teach it honestly.

  • PhD candidates and postdocs
  • Industry researchers and R&D leads
  • Faculty and lecturers
  • Independent researchers with published work

02 / Your syllabus

What you'll teach

You design and teach a syllabus in the area you know deeply, your field, your methodology, your research process. Resurchin gives you the structure; you bring the expertise.

Every syllabus on Resurchin follows the same shape:

  • Video segments with transcripts, short focused lessons
  • Quizzes at the end of each segment to check understanding
  • A guided capstone project where learners apply the methodology
  • Your review and feedback on that capstone before certification

03 / Standards

What we hold you to

  • Rigor over shortcuts

Teach the process, not the output. Learners should understand why a step matters, not just how to produce it.

  • Field-honest content

Represent your discipline accurately. Cite sources. Distinguish established methodology from your own opinion.

  • Original material

The content you upload should be yours, or properly attributed. No lifted lectures.

  • Timely capstone review

Aim to review learner capstones within two weeks so they aren't stuck waiting to be certified.

  • Respectful feedback

Learners are here to learn. Feedback should be direct, specific, and kind.

04 / Recognition

What you get in return

Tutoring on Resurchin is a volunteer role. There is no salary. What you get instead:

  • A Certificate of Participation as a Resurchin tutor
  • A public tutor profile with your syllabus and learners
  • Recognition across Resurchin's channels and community
  • Direct impact on students building real research skill

05 / How to join

Getting on the platform

For v1, new tutors are added manually so the founding cohort stays small and high-signal. If that sounds like you, join the tutor waitlist and share a little about your research background, and we'll reach out.
